#GlideBlogExclusive : Startzy Gives His Top 10 Rappers Of All Time

On the eve of what's set to be Startzy's biggest release thus far 'Coz I Rarseclart Can 2' we caught up with the glide minister to find out who he listens to, check out Startzy's Top 10 Rappers Below. (Besides Himself) he really wanted to add himself for the reason and I quote 'I wouldn't rap if i didn't honestly believe i was the best'
  1. 50 Cent (Get rich or die trying, is when I fell in love with Hip Hop, i was 12 and thought I was the baddest guy alive so the timing was perfect, it was authentic, it was raw, it was passionate, full of hunger but above all that I put 50 as number one because he can write hooks even greater than the top players in any genre, anybody can rap and some people can write good hooks but to be able to do both to such a high standard is some real glidey shit)
  2. 2pac (For me pac was the greatest, let me explain coz you're probably saying 'why isn't he number 1 then dumbass' I'm able to distinguish between the greatest and the best, when  I say the greatest I mean he has the best legacy and was for the best cause in my eyes, but when I say the best I'm purely talking about the art form, anyway Pac wasn't just a rapper he was an activist his lyrics are still relevant today. Legend)
  3. Jay - Z (This guy is the King simple and plain. I'll keep it 150 with you I thought watch the throne was whack personally, BUT from an artistic standpoint Jay's verses were still cold as an eskimos nut sack. The way Hov can reinvent himself and stay relevant is amazing. I love his business sense as well, his hustle is on 10000000. Hov is a farda for every1, you have to salute uncle jigga, he's done it all and is still going.)
  4. Eminem (If we're talking about pure lyrics then Em on his day can be number 1 easily, Im not gonna front and say I have hundreds of Em songs because I believe he lacks consistency but I know that at any moment he can spazz out and start foaming at the mouth. For me the best lyricist on his day)
  5. Max B (The most influential street rapper in recent history, think about it, you would probably say Drake is the most influential commercial rapper of recent history right?.. compare YOLO  to WAVEY, it's even bigger! be honest with yourself now check Twitter, check Facebook, go out anywhere in the hood somebody will be saying wavy or talking about how waved they are. Besides that Max had fun making music and that's something I can relate to, he's also a master of hooks. You can rarely have a hit without a hook when's the last time like what 'a milli' even after 'Nigerian Hair' the DJ in the club cuts that shit.
  6. Missy Elliot (Missy Misde rarseclart meenar are ya sillaaaaaay?, her whole style was just ill, the ever flamboyant missy along with timbaland created a sound that can have a paralysed man bussing a skank, serious serious ratings)
  7. Ghostface Killah (The greatest story teller to hold a microphone, I swear i feel like I'm in the song when ghost raps, like there's this track he has with Fabolous where it's like they're fighting over a girl and they get to shooting at each other, I ducked like i was in the altercation it's crazy. He's a wizard on the mic somebody I would love to work with one day)
  8. French Montana (My favourite rapper of the last few years, I've been a frenchie fan from cocaine city days, I connect with his music he's the voice of the young niggas today and he can hold a tune himself a lot of these new guys can do one or the other French can do both. wouldn't say he's the most lyrical and that may be why I've got him down at number 8 but this is who I listen to all day nowadays besides myself , Coke Boys 3 is the best mixtape I've heard in years)
  9. Snoop Dogg (Uncle Snoop, HITS HITS AND MORE HITS, what's funny with snoop is his 1st tune is still being played on TV along with his more recent hits. I love how he's adapted and crossed genres but still maintained his original content. That's how you do it without selling out, punk ass Mc's take note)
  10. Beanie Sigel (The broadstreet bully, probably the most underrated rapper to ever nearly make it, I think Jay did him dirty but hey we're only on the outside looking in so who know what really happened, but the former rocafella artist can go bar for bar with anybody 'feel it in the air' one of my all time favourite rap tunes along with 'remember the days' ft eve. hood legend
